Benny the Busy Bumblebee
A Story About Focus, Feelings, and Big Ideas

Meet the character
Benny is curious, energetic, imaginative, and full of big ideas. His mind moves almost as quickly as his wings, and sometimes his attention buzzes from one exciting thing to another before he has finished what he started.
The story
Benny begins his day excited and ready to get things done. But before long, one interesting thing leads to another, and Benny finds himself surrounded by unfinished tasks, new ideas, and plenty of distractions.
At first, the chaos is fun. Eventually, Benny becomes frustrated and wonders why finishing things seems easier for everyone else.
That is when he meets Wise Bee, an older mentor who teaches Benny the BE Breath—a simple way to bring his breath and attention back to the present moment.
Wise Bee introduces Benny to a strategy he can remember: BE → CHECK → CHOOSE → DO. Benny learns to pause and be present, check his plan, choose one task, and give that task his attention.
His mind does not suddenly stop buzzing. Benny still gets distracted. But now, when his attention flies away, he knows how to find his way back.
By the end of the story, Benny begins to understand that the same busy brain that can make focusing difficult is also connected to his curiosity, creativity, enthusiasm, and big ideas.
